Mudra: Sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight. Place the two hands, palms facing forward, fingers pointing straight up towards the ceiling, about 12 inches to either side of the ears.

The elbows are held slightly out from the torso rather than squeezed toward the sides.

Curl the index finger under the thumb by bending it down (Gian Mudra). The remaining fingers are held together and pointed straight up.

Maintain a stable position and take deep breaths. Focus your gaze on the tip of your nose. Breathe long and deeply through the “O” mouth by forming a very clear “O” with your lips.

Straighten your back. Close your eyes. At the heart’s core, place your left hand flat against your chest.

Touch the following points in order with the index (Jupiter) finger of the right hand (keeping the other fingers clenched in a relaxed fist with the thumb over the other fingers):

  1.  the lower lip’s midpoint
  2.  the nose’s tip (or end)
  3.  the eye socket’s outer edge/corner 4. a position about 3/4 of an inch above the nose’s depression, right below the brow

Mantra: Repeat the mantra “Saa – Taa – Naa – Maa” out loud while touching each of the four points: As you touch the bottom lip, say Saa. As you touch the tip of your nose, say Taa.

As you touch the outside edge of the eye socket, say “naa.”

Maa – when you touch the place on your forehead You swap sides each time you go through the cycle since there are two eyes and hence two outside edges of the eye socket.

Begin by touching the right side of the body. It takes about 4-5 seconds to go through each round of touching the points and saying the mantra.

Time: In class, it took almost 21 minutes to complete. You can begin by practicing for 3 to 11 minutes and gradually increase to the full 21 minutes.

Or 33 minutes, which can be practiced for the entire time the first time. Children should begin with a time limit of 7 minutes or less. End with a self-hypnosis inhale, hold your breath, and sense your inner child.

Exhale. Take another deep breath and imagine yourself as a child in your heart, where your left hand is.

Concentrate. Exhale. Inhale deeply and repeat the image of yourself, bless that child, and exhale slowly.

End by inhaling deeply, holding your breath, entering shunyata (zero), and synchronizing your entire being. Hold for a total of 20 seconds. Relax.
